Kazakhstan and Russia have signed an agreement on joint geological exploration of the Imashevskoye gas condensate deposit, the two countries said on Tuesday.
Gas field Imashevskoe deposit, with reserves estimated at 128.7 billion cubic meters of gas and 20.7 million tons of gas condensate, is located on the border between Russia and Kazakhstan. Russia’s gas giant Gazprom and Kazakhstan’s KazMunaiGas have the right to choose the project’s operator and will share exploration costs.
